Business Owner and Entrepreneur Radio Talk Show Host Motivational/Inspirational Speaker Coach-Athletics and Life Principles

Don believes in the pursuit of your dream. He began to pursue his dream during his service to his country. He was selected to become an instructor at the prestigious Air Force Recruiting School where he was instrumental in creating many sales and public speaking courses. He received numerous awards and decorations for his accomplishments as a Master Instructor, teaching a full array of students from Non-Commissioned Officers to Generals. This background has enabled him to become successful in the sales arena.

In 1984-85 as a Sales Manager he led his teams to new sales records including becoming #1 in the nation for eighteen consecutive months. In 1995 he became partner and C.E.O. of a nutritional distribution company and again in his winning tradition, that company also became #1 in the nation in sales. It was these and other accomplishments that allow him to live his dream of a career in sales training and public speaking.

Don continues to search for ways to enhance his speaking ability and to provide insightful as well as creative formats for his presentations. In 1966, Don began working in the entertainment field. His acting career has spanned over 25 years, doing commercials, industrial films, and several movies. Another goal became a reality when he became a Stand-Up Comedian. Shortly thereafter he became a headliner on the comedy circuit. In addition, Don hosted a call-in radio show entitled "Don Varneys Positive World" and presently hosts "Billboards" on KSLR.

A life-long dream of playing professional football was fulfilled by playing Tight End for the USIFL Champions, the San Antonio Stampede. Continuing in this arena, Don became the Chaplain and Assistant Coach for the San Antonio Thunder of the NAFL (Professional Minor League Football). The coaching staff selected to the NAFL Coaching All-Star List 2001.

Don is well known in the San Antonio marketplace as a businessman with integrity and a "GET IT DONE" attitude. During the past years he has given freely of his time by speaking to youth groups. He believes that if they hear about solid life principles in a positive way they can begin to live them. As you can see he not only talks but also walks what he teaches.

Don has varied interests and hobbies that make him an active and diverse person such as; triathlons, weight training, coaching championship teams and he enjoys sketching clowns in charcoal.
